At a meeting with ambassadors in Skopje the Prime Minister of Turkey Ahmet Davutoglu said that the country should use its geographical position to get the maximum benefit from the transit of energy resources.
"The growing Turkish economy increases the demand for energy. We do not have energy sources, but we are at the crossroads of energy pathways and can benefit from transit. Just as all roads lead to Rome, Turkey should become the place of completion of all delivery methods of energy sources," he said.
According to him, Russia could be among the countries from which Turkey could transport energy, relations with which are now developing and "experiencing the best period in the last 500 years."
