Today is the birthday of President Ilham Aliyev. On this day the Azerbaijani leader was congratulated by heads of world and regional countries.
Yesterday Russian President Vladimir Putin sent his congratulations to Ilham Aliyev: "I wholeheartedly congratulate you on the occasion of your birthday. I wish you good health, happiness, well-being, further success in your state activity and all the best. I highly value our friendly relations that are based on trust. It is my hope that our constructive dialogue and fruitful joint work for the good of the Russian and Azerbaijani people will continue."
Prime Minister of Turkey Ahmet Davutoglu addressed Ilham Aliyev with congratulations on behalf of the Turkish nation, the government and on his own behalf: "I would like to note that we highly appreciate the role of your valuable contributions to our relations reaching the level of strategic cooperation. At the same time, thanks to your broad outlook and wise leadership, we are glad to see Azerbaijan’s rapid development and its growing influence in the world and the region. At the same time, I will be only too glad to meet with Your Excellency during your visit to our country on 15 January 2015. I wish Your Excellency strong health and happiness and prosperity and wellbeing to the friendly, fraternal people of Azerbaijan."
Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev in his congratulatory letter, said that he appreciated the comprehensive activities of Ilham Aliyev, and notes the zeal that Aliyev shows in the development of Azerbaijan. "I highly appreciate your multifaceted activities, personal initiatives and efforts for the development of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Kazakhstan attaches particular importance to developing relations with fraternal Azerbaijan. The expansion of political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian relations proves this. Your Excellency, on this momentous day I wish you good health, endless zeal and further success in your activities, and fraternal people of Azerbaijan peace and prosperity," Kazakh President Nazarbayev said.
Chinese President Xi Jinping expressed his sincere congratulations and best wishes to Ilham Aliyev. "I am honored to congratulate you on your birthday and express my best wishes. China and Azerbaijan are friendly and allied countries. 21 years have passed since the establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries. Friendly relations between China and Azerbaijan are developing steadily and rapidly. The Chinese side is satisfied with the level of bilateral relations," the statement reads.

I sincerely wish you good health, to always be overflowing with vitality and energy, happiness and continued success in all your endeavors and aspirations for the benefit of the friendly people of Azerbaijan," the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said in greeting.
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko also voiced heartfelt congratulations to his Azerbaijani counterpart.
