Georgian parliamentary committee to consider constitutional project in second hearing

The committee for legal affairs of the Georgian parliament will
consider the constitutional amendments project in the second hearing,
Georgia Online reports. This is the second version, which includes
amendments proposed at the first hearing. The project will go for
approval tomorrow.


The views of the parliamentary majority and the opposition differ.
They concern the date of the constitutional amendments coming into
force, the prolongation of terms for the declaration of non-confidence
in the president by parliament and the quota for the prolongation of
the president's veto.
