The new agreement on alliance and integration between Russia and South Ossetia is important for the latter not only in terms of safety, but also in the context of the socio-economic sphere of the republic, the South Ossetian Prime Minister Domenti Kulumbegov said.
"The new agreement is very important and significant not only for safety, but for the social and economic development of the country. Currently we have only a draft, and the actual agreement is still under development. The group of members of the political council of the Presidency is now working on its improvement. Therefore, I do not want to rush forward and say what the exact advantages that it will give us are, but I really think that the document is important and significant for us," Kulumbegov is quoted by TASS.
"I am confident that the working group will produce a document which would not affect our Constitution and would serve the interests of both Russia and South Ossetia," the prime minister added.
