Baku opens center for teenagers without parental care

A 120-apartment center for teenagers without parental care has opened at Masazir in Baku (Absheron District) today. Mehriban Aliyeva, the First Lady of Azerbaijan, the President of the Heydar Aliyev Fund, and Abid Sharifov, a vice prime minister, attended the opening ceremony, Trend reports.

The center was built by the Agency for Restoration and Reconstruction of Territories and the Heydar Aliyev Fund. The problem of accomodating 18-year-old people from orphanages has been topical in Azerbaijan.

The program for development of orphanages and boarding schools realized by the Heydar Aliyev Fund improves living standards and care for children.
