Polipak LLC. Director General Igor Zenov, the head of the United Russia political council of Lermontov, has become the city mayor, as stated by Valery Baranov, the head of the independent public chamber of the city, Interfax reports.
8 out of 15 members of the city council voted for him, 5 vote sheets were spoiled, according to Baranov. The official noted that Zenov was an authority among local businessmen.
Lermontov ex-Mayor Igor Bukhlayev resigned a few weeks before the end of his term of office due to problems with the executive and legislative authorities. Lermontov chief administrator Sergey Bychkov resigned together with Bukhlayev.
