Baku and Minsk discuss cooperation

A meeting of the Minister of Economy and Industry of Azerbaijan, Shahin Mustafayev, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Azerbaijan, Nikolay Patskevitch, was held today.

 

Mustafayev noted that bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Belarus are developing very successfully. According to him, mutual visits and high-level meetings play a special role in the expansion of Belarus-Azerbaijan relations. "It is very important to use the existing potential to further bolster Belarus-Azerbaijan economic ties," the Minister is quoted by Trend.

 

In turn, the Ambassador of Belarus said he us satisfied with the dynamic development of the Azerbaijani economy. "Belarus believes that cooperation with Azerbaijan is very important. I am confident that cooperation between the two countries will only expand in the future," the diplomat stressed.

 

During the meeting the sides discussed growing Belarus-Azerbaijan trade, the availability of broad opportunities for reaching positive results in this sphere, and cooperation in various spheres of the economy, in particular in mechanical engineering and agriculture, for the sake of implementing the agreements signed during bilateral meetings of the two heads of state.

 

Apart from that, the sides discussed matters concerning joint business forums and expos, the establishment of industrial clusters, parks, and agribusiness parks.
