Russia's main prosecutor will investigate reports of attacks on women
that do not cover their heads in Chechnya.
Vestnik Kavkaza reported earlier that the Russian Human Rights
Ombudsman Vladimir Lukin had asked the Prosecutor General's Office to
investigate the issue.
The North Caucasus department of the Prosecutor General's Office has
said the investigation has started.
The Chechen authorities earlier dismissed media reports on the attacks.
