Anti-Russian sanctions imposed by the European Union will be lifted if the Minsk agreements on a ceasefire in Ukraine are fully observed, EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini told a press conference in Riga.
"I can tell you that everything will depend on the situation on the ground. If and when all the Minsk items are performed, then, of course, we will have no more sanctions.
But we are far from that," RIA Novosti quoted her words. Mogherini pointed to "positive signals," indicating a change in the approach of Moscow to the situation in Ukraine, but these changes are still quite limited.
