Chief diplomats of the UK, Denmark, Lithuania and Estonia have sent a joint letter to EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini to develop measures that would protect the EU from Russian propaganda. Danish Foreign Minister Martin Lidegaard noted that Russia was using mass media to manipulate the public, TASS reports.
One of the initiatives proposed in the letter is creation of a Russian-language TV channel for Russian minorities living in the EU and beyond. Lidegaard added that formation of the channel will be a priority of Denmark's chairmanship at the Nordic Council this year.
