Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu will participate in a rally in Paris on January 11 in memory of the victims of the recent terrorist attacks. He commented on cooperation between the special services of France and Turkey at the airport before leaving for Paris. The Prime Minister said that Turkey’s National Intelligence Agency (MİT) had provided information on Hayat Boumeddiene as soon as she arrived in Turkey. Hayat Boumeddiene was the girlfriend of gunman Amedy Coulibaly, who killed one policewoman and four hostages in a kosher grocery in Paris during the recent events. The terrorist was killed during the operation by the law-enforcement agencies. Boumeddiene allegedly arrived in Turkey on January 2 and didn't use her return ticket, which was for January 8. Davutoğlu said the process of cooperation and sharing information between Turkey and France was continuing. The Prime Minister said: “Turkey has always been in close cooperation with all countries when it comes to terrorist activity. Cooperation with French intelligence is based on strong ground. The crosschecking process for information [between France and Turkey] is continuing. We always cooperate not only with France but also with all countries that face the risk of terrorism,” he said.
