The first stone of Olympic media village is laid in Sochi

The first stone of Olympic media village is laid in Sochi.
The laying ceremony of the first stone of the Olympic village was held
in Krasnaya Polyana in Sochi, Yuga.ru reports, referring to the
press-service of the governmental corporation “Olympstroy”.

The media village will have two levels connected by a vehicular road
and a cablecar. During the Olympics in 2014 more than 2,000
journalists will be located there and after the Olympics it will
become an independent new generation ski resort.

The creators of the media village project are the Russian architects
Maxim Atayants and Mikhail Filippov. Construction of the facility is
being carried out by the company “Krasnaya Polyana”.
