The confrontation between the militia and the Ukrainian security forces in eastern Ukraine has become weaker, but the humanitarian situation in the region has deteriorated. This opinion was expressed by the NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
"We have noticed that in recent years there ( in the eastern Ukraine) have been fewer confrontations. Fighting continued in some places, but there are signs of slight improvement," he said, adding that the humanitarian conditions in the region are very disturbing.
In addition, the NATO Secretary-General once again reminded about the presence of Russian troops in the region, RIA Novosti reports.
