In Iran a special SIM-card with limited access to 3G networks and 4G (internet) will be introduced, intended for children and adolescents.
The corresponding decision has been taken by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology of Iran. On its basis, the country's mobile operators have to release SIM-cards with limited access to new-generation mobile technology.
Thus, mobile operators will need to provide Iranian children and adolescents under 18 years with services in accordance with their age. For children and adolescents a special SIM-card will be issued that will support voice services, SMS and MMS.
In addition, according to the decision of the Ministry, Iran will not be allowed to sell a SIM-card for children and adolescents under the age of 18 years, the news agency Trend reports.
