Saudi authorities recommend avoiding trips to North Caucasus.
The authorities of Saudi Arabia have warned their citizens against
travelling to the North Caucasian republics of Russia because of the
deterioration in the security situation there, NewsGeorgia reports,
citing Saudi media.
Recently a mined car and another radio-controlled explosive device
covered with cardboard boxes were found in Stavropol. The total
potential force of the two explosive devices was equivalent to 60
kilograms of TNT. The devices were defused by bomb-disposal
specialists, RIA Novosti reports.
In recent months in southern Russia a series of major terrorist
attacks have taken place, including ones on August 17 in the center of
Pyatigorsk, on September 9 in Vladikavkaz and on May 26 in Stavropol.
