The Iranian authorities intend to strengthen economic cooperation with the countries of the region to reduce the negative influence of falling oil prices in the world. Ali Shamkhani, the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, stated this at the meeting with the Minister of Oil of Iraq, Adil Abd al Makhdi.

“We plan to extend economic ties with neighboring countries to reduce dependence on oil revenues,” Trend cites the Iranian politician. Shamkhani believes bilateral trade cooperation between Iran and Iraq should be deepened in various spheres.
