Russian Foreign Ministry announces dates of Moscow talks on Syria

Inter-Syrian negotiations will be held in Moscow from 26 to 29 January.

This was stated by the deputy foreign minister of Russia, Mikhail Bogdanov. In early December Bogdanov said that Russia was ready to provide a platform for talks on a settlement of the conflict in Syria.

On December 27 the government of this country informed about a decision made to send a delegation. At the end of December 2014 the UN special envoy for Syria, Staffan de Mistura, spoke of his readiness to visit Moscow for talks on Syria.
