Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk has ordered the Justice Ministry, the Prosecutor General's Office and the Security Service to recognize the "people's republics" of Donetsk and Luhansk as terrorist organizations. He encouraged Western countries to do the same, Interfax reports.
In his words, militants in the two provinces are now subjects of criminal investigations.
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said yesterday that President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz was planning to urge the EU authorities to put the self-proclaimed "republics" on the list of terrorist organizations on January 15.
