Yesterday it became known that seven countries of the European Union support the annulment of sanctions against Russia. "In support of the annulment of sanctions are Austria, Hungary, Italy, Cyprus, Slovakia, France and the Czech Republic," the news agency TASS reports, referring to a diplomatic source in Brussels.
A European diplomatic source close to the Council of the EU reported previously to TASS that the Foreign Ministers of 28 countries of the community will not take any decisions on sanctions against Russia during its first meeting this year on January 19 in Brussels.
"Russia, of course, will be on the agenda of the EU Council on Foreign Affairs, but the specific issue of the sanctions - to cancel them, soften, renew, not to renew - will not stand. The decision on sanctions should be taken in March," he said.
