North Caucasus leaders to make meetings more regular

Ingush Leader Yunus-Bek Yevkurov has told Vestnik Kavkaza that leaders of the North Caucasian Federal District will make meetings more regular to discuss pressing issues of cooperation and economic coordination. Commenting on the joint communiqué declaring the commitment of the North Caucasus leaders to strengthen the traditions of good neighbourliness and friendship, Yevkurov called the document neutral and the meeting where it was signed very fruitful. In his words, the format was initiated by Governor of the Stavropol Territory Vladimir Vladimirov. Yevkurov added that Ingushetia will host two meetings, other regions may host two-three.

The Ingush leader noted the need to focus on socio-economic projects, integration of private and public business, exchange of workplaces, state guarantees, such as following the South Russia program. Lev Kuznetsov, he reminded, had discussed the problems many times and proposed coordination as a means of their solution with greater efficiency. Yevkurov said that some projects had been scrapped after analysis and considering their realization in neighbour regions.

The message of NCFD leaders, passed with Russian Plenipotentiary Presidential Envoy to the NCFD Sergey Melikov, states that the authorities of the North Caucasus unanimously approve the internal and foreign policy of Russia and express solidarity in supporting Russian President Vladimir Putin.
