On Thursday Vladimir Putin sent a written proposal to his Ukrainian counterpart Petro Poroshenko to pull out heavy weaponry from the conflict zone. Kiev rejected the plan, not offering anything in return, Itar Tass reports referring to Russian president’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov.
"Regrettably, the Ukrainian side has turned down the plan and has proposed nothing instead. More to it, it has resumed combat operations,” Itar Tass quotes Peskov as saying.
