Azerbaijani lawmakers to prohibit smoking in closed rooms

 

Musa Huliyev, a member of the Azerbaijani parliamentary committee for social policy, said today that the parliament will consider the bill on prohibition of smoking in closed rooms, Trend reports.The law on the prohibition of smoking in public places was adopted a few years ago. The president banned smoking in Icheri Sheher later on. Amendments to the Tax Code were implemented at the final parliamentary session of 2014, raising excise duties for tobacco products.Huliyev added that the main goal was to enlighten the population about the setbacks of smoking, not impose fines.
