U.S. and Cuba to normalize relations

 

Havana will host the first U.S.-Cuban negotiations on Wednesday after U.S. President Barack Obama’s declaration to start normalization of bilateral relations. An unnamed Cuban functionary said that no breakthroughs should be expected.The Cuban Foreign Ministry told journalists that Cuba wanted the U.S. to start normalization of relations by removing it from the list of terrorism sponsor-states.
