Turkish president warns against equating terrorists with Muslims

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said at the 10th conference of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC that terrorist attacks should not be associated with Muslims and Islamic states. Muslims were forced to fight with each other, he emphasized, TASS reports.

Erdogan spoke out against caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad and said that the press should know its limits.

“Freedom of speech does not mean an opportunity to do, write, draw whatever you want. Freedom of speech does not give anyone the right to offend sacred values,” the Turkish president stated.
