The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili at the World Economic Forum in Davos, the Prime Minister's press service said.
"The sides discussed the friendly relations between two countries and discussed issues of strategic cooperation," News-Georgia cited message.
In particular, the Georgian Prime Minister and the President of Azerbaijan expressed satisfaction with the successful development of bilateral ties in various areas, including the political, economic and energy spheres. The importance of global energy projects implemented by the two countries was emphasized.
In addition, "Irakli Garibashvili and Ilham Aliyev noted that there are good opportunities for expanding Azerbaijani-Georgian political, economic and cultural cooperation," APA reports.
The Georgian Prime Minister also invited the President of Azerbaijan to Tbilisi.
