The head of Dagestan, Ramazan Abdullatipov, during his annual message said that 60% of the economy of Dagestan is still in the shadows.
He said that as a result of work carried out in 2014, 41.1 thousand hectares of land and 22.9 thousand houses were placed on the tax accounting.
"Such large-scale work was carried out for the first time. And it must be continued, reducing the dependence of municipalities on subsidies", the head of Dagestan said.
Abdullatipov noted that the Federal Tax Service actively works on taxes with national and local authorities.
However, he accused the Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography that it is not doing enough good work.
"We should all understand that we are poor because we do not pay taxes," he said.
