NATO is happy with reforms in the Georgian Armed Forces, the Georgian Defense Ministry says, commenting on the visit of Deputy Defense Minister Levan Girsiashvili to the headquarters of the Alliance, Trend reports.
Girsiashvili attended a session of the NATO-Georgia commission, where the document on evaluation of defense planning was discussed. NATO members praised achievements in Georgian reforms at a meeting in the 28+1 format.
Girsiashvili met with Special Representative of the NATO Secretary General to the South Caucasus and Central Asia James Appathurai, Director of Force Planning, NATO Defence Policy and Planning Directorate Frank Boland, Director of the NATO Security Office Todd Brown and other officials.
