NATO Deputy Secretary General Alexander Vershbow will visit Tbilisi on January 29-30. He will meet with the Georgian president, prime ministers, members of the government and the speaker of parliament, News Azerbaijan reports.Spokesman of the Georgian Foreign Ministry David Kereselidze said on Monday that the NATO official will focus on progress in the implementation of the NATO package granted to Georgia at the summit in Wales. The package stipulates development of Georgia’s defense potential, training, joint drills, formation of a NATO training center in Georgia. Vershbow will visit the center, which is currently under construction, within the framework of his visit.
