Azerbaijan will allocate 1,325,610,000 AZN (US $1,656,326,000 ) from the 2011 State Budget for defense expenditures, a member of Parliament's Economic Policy Committee, Nazim Mammadov, said APA reports.
He said that defense expenditures will increase by 10% in 2011 as against the figures of 2010.
900,000 AZN will be spent on defense forces, 83,303 000 AZN on national security, 2, 200 000 AZN on applied research in the defense and security sphere.
