British Minister of State Baroness Joyce Anelay responded to Lord John Taylor Kilclooney’s question about the fate of Azerbaijani citizens Dilgam Askerov and Shakhbaz Guliyev, who are imprisoned in Armenia, that the UK did not recognize Nagorno-Karabakh Republic as an independent state, APA reports.
The minister of state emphasized that the trial of Askerov and Guliyev was illegal. She said the issue will be raised at the International Red Cross Committee.
