In the near future the Russian government does not intend to raise the retirement age. This was stated by the chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Social Policy, Valery Ryazanskiy.
"The government has defined the rules of conduct in this matter until 2030. The development strategy of the pension system was approved until 2030. There are no issues related to the change in retirement age," Gazeta.ru quotes him.
As previously reported by Vestnik Kavkaza, on Thursday January 29 the Russian Minister for Economic Development Alexei Ulyukayev mentioned the possibility of raising the retirement age.
