Several former employees of the Georgian Interior Ministry were detained this morning.
Among them were former deputy head of the Criminal Police of the Interior Ministry Irakli Pirtskhalava, former investigator of the sixth branch of the Investigation Department of the Interior Ministry Levan Berodze and former commander of the Interior Ministry’s special forces Koba Nakani.
During the mentioned operation, a person named Zurab Vazagashvili was killed by the police.
The reports at the time said Vazagashvili and his associates were plotting an armed assault on a Tbilisi family, Trend reports.
