Over 30 parties will take part in parliamentary elections in Turkey

Some 31 political parties will take part in the parliamentary elections in Turkey, the Turkish Official Gazette (Resmi Gazete) reported today. 

 

The candidates in the parliamentary elections must leave their previous positions by February 10. 

 

As Vestnik Kavkaza reported previously, the Supreme Electoral Council has set the Turkish elections for June 7. 

 

During the previous parliamentary elections, held in 2011, Turkey’s ruling Justice and Development Party gained 46.66% of the votes, 20.85% of the votes went to the Republican People’s Party, and 14.29% to the Nationalist Movement Party, Trend reports.
