President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that the tightening of entry requirements for citizens of the Russian Federation to the territory of his country, due to which they will no longer be able to cross the border with a regular passport from March 1, was his personal decision.
"This is my personal order of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It is made," RIA Novosti cited him.
The President stressed that such a document is the full right of a sovereign country.
"The strengthening is made only due to concerns about the security of Ukraine," Poroshenko explained.
