EU Commission Vice-President Maroš Šefčovič said today that it is necessary to continue the discussion about 'South Stream', "coming back to a more rational debate."
At the same time, he said that Russia's intention to transfer gas routes from Ukraine to Turkey violates certain documents.
"Russia's decision to supply the full amount of gas through Turkey instead of Ukraine is a blow to Gazprom’s image as a reliable supplier," RIA Novosti cited him as saying.
Šefčovič explained that the agreements, among other things, determine the specific routes of gas supplies.
