Several mortar shots exploded near the Russian embassy in Damascus today, RIA Novosti reports.
Spokesman of the Russian Foreign Ministry Alexander Lukashevich said that one of the shots hit the consulate office of the embassy.
Dozens of missiles and mortar shots hit Damascus streets. Three peaceful residents died and over 30 were injured. Over 50 shells have hit Damascus in the last hours. Jaysh al-Islam has taken responsibility for the attacks.
