Armenian parliament ratifies two agreements within the CIS.
The parliament of Armenia today ratified two agreements within the
Commonwealth of the Independent States (CIS), aimed at cooperation of
the CIS member states in their struggle with theft of cultural
property and vehicles and ensuring their return, News Armenia reports.
According to Artur Osikyan, the Deputy Chief of Police, an agreement
was signed on the 25th of November in 2005 in Moscow between ten
member countries of the CIS: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia,
Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan and Ukraine.
Osikyan also noted that Armenia and Azerbaijan accept the document,
with certain limitations related to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
