Russia’s Agriculture Minister Nikolay Fyodorov called the reports on Kazakhstan’s plans to introduce restrictions on Russian products a misunderstanding.
"We are actively strengthening the Customs Union, common rules and inadmissibility of any restrictions," RIA Novosti cited the head of the ministry.
"So, saying there is a topic of restrictions is a misunderstanding," he added.
"If there are any disputes between the countries of the Customs Union, they may derive exclusively from the competent authorities to ensure safety of agricultural products - these are Rosselkhoznadzor, or the analogous services of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan," Fedorov explained.
