Russia urges double standards be abandoned in fight against terrorism

Russia urges double standards be abandoned in fight against terrorism.

Russia calls for the abandoning of double standards in fighting
against terrorism, drug trafficking and trans-national crime, Sergei
Lavrov, the Russian Foreign Minister, told the forum "Asia - Europe"
(ASEM) in Brussels on Tuesday, RIA Novosti reports.

The Minister said that globalization tightens the relationship between
Asia and Europe and, above all, it relates to security matters, which
can only be equal and indivisible. "This very same approach is the
main principle of the proposal of Russia to sign a comprehensive
treaty on European Security and of the joint Russian-Chinese
initiative to strengthen security in the Asian-Pacific region,
discussed during the recent visit of the Russian President to China,"
the minister added.
