An OSCE evaluation mission will meet in Baku today and tomorrow, the
French co-chair of the OSCE MG Bernard Fassier said, ANS TV channel
reports.
Fassier said that they will first meet the Minister of Foreign Affairs
Elmar Mammadyarov, then ministry experts and members of the state
committee for refugees and forced migrants. Tomorrow they will meet
President Ilkham Aliyev and will visit Yerevan, where they will meet
President Serzh Sargsyan. On October 7 they will visit Hankendi and
other regions. The mission will end on October 13 or 14, depending on
weather conditions.
Bernard Fassier clarified that this time they will use a new route,
crossing the border from the Armenian side, instead of from
Azerbaijani.
The co-chair talked about the possible meeting of ministers of foreign
affairs of Azerbaijan and Armenia within the OSCE summit in Astana in
December. He said that the president of both countries will be at the
meeting.
Co-chairs of OSCE MG are having a visit to the region. This year they
will also view the facts and monitor the regions around
Nagorno-Karabakh. Other members of the mission will arrive in Baku
tomorrow.
