Georgian visa can be obtained via internet

A system of obtaining electronic visas has been introduced in Georgia, the Georgian government said.

Using the new system, tourists and business people entering the country from abroad will be able to obtain a visa by applying online at www.evisa.gov.ge.  A ready electronic visa will be sent to the email address of the recipient.

The Foreign Ministry of Georgian believes that issuing electronic visas will promote the development of tourism and business, and increase the number of visitors, 'Interfax' writes. 

According to Deputy Foreign Minister Vladimir Gurgenidze, the fight against illegal migration will continue, and the introduction of electronic visas will not prevent it.
