U.S. Ambassador to Azerbaijan Robert Cekuta said in a video greeting posted on Facebook today that the U.S. and Azerbaijan have been sharing common goals since Azerbaijan became independent in 1991.
The diplomat has named the following priorities of cooperation between the two states: regional security, economic development, employment of young people and democratic development.
The U.S. Senate appointed Cekuta as the ambassador to Azerbaijan on December 16.
