Ukrainian president calls Normandy format last chance to reach ceasefire agreement

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said at a meeting with Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Garcia-Margallo y Marfil that the Normandy-format talks in Minsk are one of the last chances to reach a ceasefire agreement and move artillery away from the contact line in Donbas, TASS reports.

The president noted the close cooperation between Ukraine, Germany and France in preparations for the talks set for February 11. Poroshenko added that constant missile attacks, such as the incident in Kramatorsk on Tuesday, are an obstacle on the path towards progress.
