Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will make an official visit to Russia this year for the meeting of the High Level Cooperation Council (HLCC) between the Russian Federation and Turkey, the Turkish ambassador to Russia Umit Yardim said.
"The visit of President Erdogan is provided within the HLCC that Russia is hosting in 2015," RIA Novosti cited him as saying.
According to Yardim, this might not be the only visit in 2015. In particular, the President of Turkey was invited to the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. A decision about this trip is still pending.
Every visit by Erdogan to Russia will include a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, the ambassador said.
