The countries participating in the nuclear summit which is taking
place in Washington on April, 12-13 will present national memoranda on
the topic of nuclear secutity, the president's assistant Sergey
Prikhod'ko reported ro the journalists.
Heads of states and of governments of more than 40 countries and
leaders of gour international organizations are participating in the
summit. 'It is suggested that every participating country will spread
its national memorandum on the topic of nuclear security' - Prikhodko
underlines, as RIA NOVOSTI reports.
The program of the first day of the summit includes a buisiness lunch
for the heads of delegations devoted to the proplem of threat of
nuclear terrotism. A buisiness breakfast and two sessions are planned
for April, 13 where national and international affords to improve
nuclear security will be discussed.
The discussions will not be open to the press. Two documents are to be
passed during the summit - a comunique and a plan of work.
The summit has been initiated by Barack Obama in Prague on April, 5
the last year, he reminded. The first meeting of this kind on the
level of eight powers took place in Moscowin April, 1996 and had been
initiated by Russia.
