Russian Ambassador-at-Large Valery Sorokin heading the national delegation to the APEC said that Manila will host the next APEC summit on November 18-19, 2015, TASS reports.The diplomat reminded that the senior officials of the forum had attended a council in the Philippines on January 26 – February 7. As a result of the Beijing summit, the sides agreed to form the Asia-Pacific Free Trade Zone, which Russia may join. Sorokin noted that Russia had proposed intensive exchange of information with other regional integration mechanisms.In the first 12 years of Russia’s membership in the APEC, 10 of its projects were realized. 38 projects were realized in 2011-2014. The trade turnover between Russia and the APEC totals 27% of overall Russian trade turnover.Sorokin added that Russia should stop focusing on energy trade and develop other products.
