Germany intends to contribute to the development of Georgia, the chairman of the Bundestag of Germany, Norbert Lammert, said during a joint press conference with the Speaker of the Georgian Parliament David Usupashvili in Tbilisi.
"We are interested in the economic and political development of Georgia and will make every effort to make a great contribution to this development," Trend cited him as saying. Usupashvili stressed that Germany's assistance is extremely important for the country.
"Germany has provided political and economic support to Georgia from the first years of its independence, and we appreciate it," he said.
