According to the protocol of the interdepartmental commission on the admission of carriers to international transport, posted on the website of the Federal Air Transport Agency of Russia, two Russian air carriers were allowed to make flights to Azerbaijan.
Angara Airlines received permission to make regular passenger flights from Novosibirsk to Ganja, Lankaran and Baku (the flights from Novosibirsk to Baku are currently made by aircraft of S7 airline) twice a week.
The flights will be made by 'AN-148-100E' aircraft, the protocol says.Moreover, Taimyr airlines received permission to make St. Petersburg-Lankaran and Surgut-Lankaran flights. The flights will be also made two times a week by Boeing 737 aircraft.
The Commission rejected Aeroflot company’s bid to increase the number of Moscow-Baku flights from 14 to 22 times a week. The permission was also withdrawn from Utair airlines to make Surgut-Lankaran flights and from Kolavia on St. Petersburg-Lankaran flights.
The reason was a failure to make flights more than two seasons in accordance with the IATA schedule, the protocol says.Moreover, Utair airlines initiated the withdrawal of permission for Nizhnekamsk-Baku flight, Trend reports.
