The population of Azerbaijan in 2014 increased by 115.9 thousand people, or 1.2%, and at the beginning of 2015 amounted to 9.593 million people, the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan reports.
The population density is 111 people per square km, 53.1% of the total population are urban and 46.9% are rural population, 49.8% are men, 50.2% are women, Trend reports.
