State Duma deputies have supported the famous singer Iosif Kobzon and the head of the Moscow City Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Valery Rashkin, who have been added to the EU sanctions list.
A common view was expressed by the head of the Duma Committee on Education Vyacheslav Nikonov during the plenary session.
"We in the Russian parliament are unanimously outraged that yesterday sanctions were imposed against our worthy and esteemed colleagues Iosif Kobzon and Valery Rashkin," Tass cited him as saying.
"Iosif Davidovich, Valery Fedorovich, we are with you. If they are Charlie, so we are all Kobzon and Rashkin," Nikonov said.
